On 12/21/2022 Agents conducted a controlled purchase of approximately 488 gross grams of methamphetamine utilizing a Confidential Source (CS). This controlled purchase was audio and video recorded by the CS. Agents on surveillance were also able to video record the purchase.

On 12/21/2022 Agents had a CS contact Michael Anthony RODRIGUEZ by phone on a number known to be utilized by RODRIGUEZ. The CS made a deal with RODRIGUEZ to purchase one pound of methamphetamine for $3000.00. The CS was instructed to travel to RODRIGUEZ's residence at 2404 South Pierce Amarillo, Texas. Agents monitored the CS throughout the operation.

Upon arriving at 2404 South Pierce Amarillo, Texas, RODRIGUEZ had the CS enter his vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the residence. Once the CS got in the vehicle RODRIGUEZ stated it would be just a little bit before the methamphetamine would arrive. The CS provided RODRIGUEZ with the money.

A short time later Joseph Anthony DOMINGUEZ arrived and stopped in the street in front of the residence. A female exited her car holding US currency in one hand and got inside DOMINGUEZ red Charger. A short time later the female exited with no money in hand, and DOMIGUEZ pulled into the driveway.

RODRIGUEZ went to DOMINGUEZ vehicle where DOMIGUEZ provided him a yellow plastic bag. RODRIGUEZ walked back to his vehicle and gave the bag to the CS. The bag contained the methamphetamine. RODRIGUEZ identified DOMINGUEZ as his son and then talked about the quality of the methamphetamine. The CS took the methamphetamine and attempted to leave.

Once the CS reached their vehicle RODRIGUEZ was at the window of the red Charger talking with DOMINGUEZ. The C was called back over due to an issue with the money. The CS went back to the red Charger and sorted the issue out. The CS left the residence. DOMINGUEZ exited the red Charger and was able to be positively identified by agents during surveillance. While exiting his vehicle DOMINGUEZ had another yellow plastic bag similar to the one given to the CS. DOMINGUEZ went into the residence with RODRIGUEZ.
