On July 17th, 2021, at 1:49 PM, APD officers were called to a shooting at a residence in the 600 block of south Mississippi Street. The victim, Timothy Wayne McCullough 24-year-old male, has died from his injuries. The Amarillo Police Department Homicide Unit has obtained a warrant for James Coy Mireles, 22-year-old male, in this case. Mireles has not been arrested and is considered armed and dangerous. The APD Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting in the 600 block of south Mississippi Street. A male victim has been transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
