Rudy Escobedo, 16, and his brother Roland Escobedo, 20, were shot down on a sidewalk in the 1600 block of Ross Street on April 10. Juan Carlos Davita turned himself in for the crime a week later and was charged with first degree murder in connection with Rudy Escobedo's death.

Davila told police he shot Rudy Escobedo after Escobedo came at him with a bat in an aggressive manner.
