POTTER COUNTY, TX (KFDA) - A man is behind bars after authorities accuse him of attacking his father with a knife, killing him.

According to a search warrant filed Wednesday, Felipe Rojas Jr. was arrested after his father, Felipe Rojas Sr. was found dead at a home near the 1400 block of North Taylor in Amarillo.

Police wanted the warrant to get DNA samples from 28-year-old Felipe Rojas Junior to compare to samples recovered from the crime scene. They found Rojas at Northwest Texas Hospital on August 14, the day of the stabbing, with a wound they say came while he killed his father Felipe Rojas senior at the home on North Taylor. The elder Rojas suffered multiple stab wounds to upper body, neck and face.
