AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A pedestrian was killed in a hit and run at Georgia and I-40.

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m.

According to police, the driver of a Nissan Titan hit a man who was on the median.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver turned left onto the access road and kept going.

Police stopped the pickup about a mile later at the McDonald's at Western & I-40.

There was obvious damage to the bumper, hood and windshield.

No word on any charges.

The intersection was reopened just after 12 p.m.
