A hung jury was declared Tuesday in a murder case prosecutors describe as gang related.
The jury was unable to reach a decision on charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder filed against Raymond Plasencio.
He is accused of killing Richard Preciado by stabbing him 87 times in February of 2003, in the 1900 block of south Buchanan.
47th District Attorney Randall Sims says they now have to decide whether or not to retry the case in the near future.
