UPDATE Pampa murderer sentenced to 20 years

Pampa, TX - The man found guilty in the 2008 murder of a Pampa man is sentenced to twenty years in prison.

The Gray County District Attorney's office says the jury in the trial of Juan Cano did not believe sudden passion played a role in the murder.

Just before midnight Wednesday night, the same jury found him guilty of murder.

Cano is accused of shooting Carlos Hernandez in September of 2008.
