AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A juvenile is in custody after a deadly shooting in Northeast Amarillo early Saturday morning.

The Amarillo Police Department said officers were sent to the 1600 block of N. Manhattan on this incident.

That's where they found the victim, identified as 18-year-old Aaron Jerrard Lancaster, lying on the ground. Other people were surrounding him performing life-saving measures.

The Lancaster was taken to a local hospital where he died. An autopsy is set to be performed in Lubbock.

Police said a juvenile suspect was arrested.
