Rodney Lane Dunlap, 60, was arrested at 8409 Bluebonnet Drive after he called 911 about 7:50 p.m. Saturday to report a shooting at his residence. Responding deputies found his son, 33-year-old it Joshua Lane Dunlap, inside a travel trailer dead of at least one apparent gunshot wound to his upper torso from a small-caliber handgun, which later was recovered. Dunlap was charged with murder.
Gabriel Olmos-Serna, is charged with murder in the shooting death of his brother, Guadalpe Olmos, 29, who died about 1:45 a.m. Saturday at Northwest Texas Hospital.
The shooting occurred at 11:40 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of DeBruce Grain, 620 N. Marrs St., where detectives recovered a shell casing.
They are seeking a medium-caliber handgun believed to be the which weapon used in the homicide.
Olmos-Serna and Dunlap remain in the Potter County Detention Center in lieu of $1 million bond each.
The homicides were the 16th, 17th and 18th of the year investigated by Special Crimes. The number includes two fatal officer-involved shootings.
