Amarillo Murder Suspect Caught in Albuquerque

A murder suspect who has been on the run since May 31st, has now been caught.

Earlier this afternoon the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office in Albuquerque notified Amarillo police that David Anaya had been captured following an Amarillo CrimeStoppers tip.

Anaya allegedly shot and killed Eric Mireles outside of "My Club" early on may 31st.

As of right now, it is unknown if Anaya will waive extradition so he can be returned to Amarillo.
