The man suspected of the 2018 slaying of Latrece Latell Black in Amarillo has been captured after the combined efforts of several law enforcement agencies. According to the Amarillo Police Department, Ricardo Huerta was arrested in Chihuahua, where officials found out he was wanted for the murder in the U. S. Authorities deported Huerta to El Paso, where he was booked into jail by local law enforcement.

CHIHUAHUA, Mexico (KVII) — The man suspected of the 2018 slaying of Latrece Latell Black in Amarillo has been captured after the combined efforts of several law enforcement agencies.
According to the Amarillo Police Department, Ricardo Huerta was arrested in Chihuahua, where officials found out he was wanted for the murder in the U.S.
Authorities deported Huerta to El Paso, where he was booked into jail by local law enforcement.
Huerta is suspected of killing the 28-year-old Latrece Black on July 11, 2018 near the 900 block of South Arthur.
On July 31st of that year, police named Huerta a suspect and began a manhunt.
Previous information indicates he was also wanted for failure to register as a sex offender. However, it is not clear if he will be charged with that crime as well upon his receipt by Amarillo law enforcement.
According to the news release, the investigation involved the Amarillo Police Department, Northern Texas Fugitive Task Force and the Mexico Investigative Liaison Team.
