At approximately 4:45 a.m. on July 11, 1992 , officers were dispatched to the Sneak Joint Lounge at 10321 E. Amarillo Blvd. in reference to a fire. When the officers arrived, fire department personnel were actually fighting a blaze at a trailer next to the Sneak Joint. This trailer belonged to the owner/manager of the Sneak Joint, Carolyn Karp. Once the fire had been extinguished, the remains of Karp's body were found inside the burned trailer. Homicide has been ruled as the cause of death, and anyone with information should contact the Special Crimes Unit or Crime Stoppers with the information.
