Kathy Sue Snelson, 51, died on June 19 after being stabbed at a bar on Amarillo Boulevard. A Potter County grand jury indicted James Richard Richie, 71, on a murder charge in September.

Snelson died after she was stabbed in the throat and chest at the Horseshoe Lounge, 3904 E. Amarillo Blvd., Lt. Gary Trupe, head of the Potter-Randall Special Crimes Unit, said earlier.

Police officers responded to the bar about 2 p.m. that day to a 911 call of an aggravated assault.
