On March 27, 2006, a severed head was found inside a City sanitation truck in north Amarillo. No other body parts were located after an extensive search was conducted over the truck’s route and at the Amarillo Landfill west of town.
A composite sketch of what the victim is believed to have looked like was released to the public, but no identification has so far been made. This case remains an open investigation
