On Friday, September 14, 2018, at approximately midnight, officers of the Amarillo Police Department were dispatched to the apartments at 4401 Coulter about 2 stabbing victims. It was reported to officers that the suspect fled the scene. Upon arrival officers found a female victim who was deceased and a male victim who required medical attention. The male victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers quickly learned the identity of the suspect and began searching for him. The suspect was later stopped in Clayton, NM. Investigators with the Special Crimes Unit obtained a murder warrant for Jude Edward Samora, age 24 while he was detained in Clayton. The murder victim was identified as Julianne Marie Samora, age 22. Special Crimes continues its investigation into this homicide and asks anyone with information about this case to call 378-9468.
