A Gray County jury Thursday night found a Pampa woman not guilty of killing her 6-week-old child.

The jury in the 31st District Court found Mary Lee Bolin, 30, not guilty of capital murder after it deliberated for more than three hours.

Prosecutors in the 31st District Attorney's Office had alleged Bolin killed her 6-week-old daughter, Kenzee Renae Bolin. Kenzee was admitted to Pampa Regional Hospital for what was first reported as breathing difficulties.

Medical personnel tried to resuscitate Kenzee for about an hour, but she died May 21, 2007.

An autopsy later showed Kenzee died of blunt force trauma to the head.

Pampa police in 2007 alleged Kenzee died when she was either shaken or slammed against a surface.

District Attorney Lynn Switzer and Bolin's attorneys Harold Comer and Mark Buzzard could not be reached for comment about the verdict Thursday night.

Switzer's office released a five-word statement only saying Bolin had been found not guilty.

Bolin had been free on bond.
