AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Amarillo police are searching for two men who robbed a Family Dollar in North Amarillo Monday night.
According to police, officers were sent to the Family Dollar on the Amarillo Blvd. on Jan. 4, just after 8:30 p.m., on a robbery that had just happened.
When officers arrived on the scene, APD said they spoke with the employees at the store who told them two black males came into the store. Both suspects were armed with handguns and forced the employees to open the cash registers while pointing the guns at them.
Police said the suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and took off out the front doors of the store. The pair was seen last running east on Amarillo Blvd.
According to APD, one of the suspects was described as being around 6'1" tall, wearing blue coveralls with blue bandana covering his face. The other suspect was described as being about 5'8" tall, wearing a black hoodie type jacket with a black bandana covering his face.
