AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Two men were arrested on murder warrants after a woman was shot in northwest Amarillo on Friday evening.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, at about 7:10 p.m., officers were called to the area of NW 3rd and Independence Street for a shooting.

Officers arrived and found two female victims with life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Both victims were taken to the hospital for their injuries. Later, Karlee Messer, 29, died from her injuries.

APD Homicide Detectives determined that the two women were shot during a robbery.

Police identified the suspects as Matthew Aidan Brewer, 20, and Adrian Sebastian Ulloa, 21, and murder warrants were issued.

Also Friday night, patrol officers found Brewer at a residence in the 2700 block of Royal Road where he was arrested and booked into the Potter County Detention Center for murder.

Ulloa was found at a residence in the 300 block of Nelson Street on Saturday and arrested for his warrant.

Once in custody, officers recognized Ulloa as the suspect of a shooting at a business near SE 10th and Grand Street.

Ulloa allegedly walked into the store, shot at the clerk, left, and then came back and shot at the clerk again.

The clerk was not injured in the shooting.

Ulloa was booked into the Potter County Detention Center for the murder warrant and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Officers searched the residence Ulloa was found at and confiscated several firearms as evidence.

Both cases are being investigated by the APD Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit.
