AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A murder warrant has been issued for a man who was initially being sought in a shooting that occurred over the weekend.
According to police, a murder warrant has been issued for 36-year-old Jeremiah Jay Reyna for the shooting death of a man over the weekend.
He is described as 5-foot-6-inches tall, 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Reyna drives a 2000 grey or pewter colored GMC Sierra with Texas tags.
Police said at about 1:44 a.m. on Sunday, officers were sent to a shooting in the 1700 block of Buntin.
30-year-old Samuel Acosta was found with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and died from his injuries on Wednesday.
