AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Amarillo police have released the name of the man killed in an early Easter morning drive-by shooting and have arrested two suspects in connection to the homicide.

According to police, 30-year-old Jesus Coronado-Sanchez was killed after he was shot in the upper body during a drive-by shooting around 1 a.m. on Sunday in the 2600- block of Rule Street.

Police said Coronado-Sanchez was standing with a group of people outside a home in the area when a vehicle drove by and the occupants in the vehicle started shooting at the group. APD's Special Crimes Unit took over the investigation and found that Coronado-Sanchez "had been involved in an ongoing dispute with another person."

Police arrested 30-year-old Vicente Ortiz and 24-year-old Cristian Omar Villaloboz in connection to the murder of Coronado-Sanchez.

According to APD, the two suspects were found around 8 a.m. on Sunday, in the 600 block of North Marrs Street. Both men were detained and warrants for Murder were later issued for the two men. Both Ortiz and Villaloboz were booked into the Potter County Jail.

APD said an autopsy on Coronado-Sanchez will be performed in Lubbock Tuesday morning.
