Elisandro Antonio "Alex" Nava, 46, has been arrested for in the December beating death of Canyon resident Henry C. "Hal" Moreland III.

A relative of Moreland's found him dead inside his home in the 1000 block of Sixth Avenue.

Authorities said Nava threatened to rob him and "teach him a lesson" shortly before Moreland's body was discovered. Investigators said they believe Nava was using Moreland's cellphone.
