Ex-teacher's aide charged with felony

Authorities have charged a 38-year-old former high school teacher's aide from White Deer with a second-degree felony count accusing her of having an improper relationship with a student.

Kovette Renee Bradley of White Deer is charged with conducting an improper relationship between an educator and a student, said Carson County Sheriff Tam Terry.

Terry said his office received a report of the incident Dec. 31 - the day Bradley resigned from the school - and began its investigation. Authorities issued a warrant for Bradley's arrest Jan. 4. She turned herself in to police, posted $10,000 bond and was released that day, Terry said.

Bradley has children in the school who are about the same age as the victim, Terry said. He added that there is no information that leads investigators to believe there is more than one victim in the case.
