46 year old Jordan Augusta Clopton faces a charge of murder in connection with the death of David Wayne Hale.

The 38 year old victim was found in July lying in the alley between the 800 blocks of Monroe and Madison.

Autopsy reports indicate he died from some sort of blunt force trauma to the upper part of the body.

SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 4, 2005, at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, with Rev. Lonny Robbins, pastor of the Trinity Fellowship Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Hale was born March 23, 1967 in Pampa, and attended Pampa schools. He served in the Pampa Armory of the Texas National Guard for 8 years. He had been a resident of Amarillo for the past 18 years. He was a carpenter, working for several construction companies in Amarillo for the past 15 years. He attended the Central Church of Christ in Amarillo.SURVIVORS: 1 Sister: Schaunda Green of Pampa. 2 Brothers: J. C. Branscum of Amarillo and Jimmy Fitzer of Pampa. Grandparents: Darrell & Mary Marsh and Hattie Branscum, all of Pampa. Uncle: Ronny Branscum of Pampa. Fiancee: Rae Lynn Slavin of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melinda Hale, in 1998, his parents, Wayne Hale and Brenda Branscum, and an aunt, Donna Fitzer.
