On Monday, December 9, 2019 at 8:10 AM, Amarillo Police officers were dispatched to 900 North Johnson Street on a call that a male was found lying on the ground outside a residence. When officers arrived, they found 32-year-old Tomas Mateo deceased outside the home. Initially, officers thought the subject had been shot, but despite further investigation at the scene, the cause of death is unknown.
