Man gets 30 years in prison for Amarillo motel assault

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) —
Authorities sentenced a man to 30 years in prison this week after he was convicted on two counts of assault.
Thursday, Christian King was convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a controlled substance after a four-day trial in Randall County.
Prosecutors said the charges stem from an incident near I-27 and Georgia Street at a motel.
Authorities said King has previous felony convictions and is a member of a white supremacist street gang called the Aryan Circle.
Prosecutors used these factors as enhancements to his sentencing.
King will have to serve at least 15 years of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
