Amarillo, TX - An Amarillo man is convicted and sentenced for a murder last summer.

The 47th District Attorney's office says Dustin Rhoades was convicted this week for the shooting death of Deans Anderson.

After less than an hour of deliberations, the same jury sentenced Rhoades to 40 years in prison.

Anderson was found shot to death at the Westminster Apartments on Coulter in southwest Amarillo, last June.

Rhoades and another suspect, CreeAnna Dawn, were arrested a week later. Dawn is expected to go to trial next month.
