Curtis Ray Vaughn, 33, was clubbed to death in a parking lot across the street form Carver Early Childhood Academy on August 28. Glen Curtis Williams, 41, was charged with murder in connection with Vaughn's death. Vaughn was found unconscious in the parking lot and taken to Northwest Texas Hospital where he later died.

Witnesses told police they saw Williams strike Vaughn with a club. A club and a knife were found at the scene.
