On January 15, 2005, Sergeant Kevin Dockery was assigned as lead investigator in the murder of Jesse Sandoval at 1308 South Houston.

Within five hours, Sergeant Dockery identified the offender as Matthew Olivas, H/M, 35, obtained a search warrant for his truck and then a warrant charging Olivas with Murder.
