Gary Brumm, 36, was stabbed to death Sept. 19 at a female friend’s house in the 1100 block of Bolton Street, allegedly by the woman’s estranged husband. The man broke into the house about 3 a.m. and attacked Brumm and his estranged wife, Linda Cartier, investigators said. Linda Cartier was not seriously injured.

• Joseph “Frenchie” Hill Cartier was arrested and indicted in connection with the slaying.
