AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Amarillo man has been arrested for the shooting and killing of 26-year-old Brandon Lamar Washington early Wednesday morning.

According to officials, 30-year-old Mathew Dewon Wilson was arrested Wednesday at 6:25 p.m for the murder of Washington and taken to Potter County Jail.

Police said Wilson was booked for murder after the 47th District Attorney's Office accepted the charge.
