DETAILS: On May 8, 2022, at 5:51 pm, Amarillo Police Officers responded to shooting in the 1400 block of N Johnson St. Officers found the victim in a front yard along with several witnesses. The victim, identified as Chris Doerue, Male, age 25 was transported to an area hospital where he later died of his injuries. Suspects were detained and interviewed at the Amarillo PD. Leonard Hakizimana,male, age 21 and Jeremiah Ntirampeba, male, age 19, were arrested for murder and booked into the Potter County Jail. The APD Homicide Unit is investigating the case.
