Michael Todd Williams pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the February 1989 beating death of 24-year-old Bounpasom Louanglath, of Amarillo, who was found dead on a couch at 1010 N. Marrs St., Texas Department of Public Safety records and Globe-News files show.

Williams was originally charged with murder in Louanglath's death, which authorities said stemmed from a dispute between Louanglath and one or more people at a party.
