‘Armed and dangerous’ suspect in weekend homicide still at large
AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - The Amarillo Police Department continues to search for 22-year-old Jody Joe Lewis, who is accused of shooting and killing 19-year-old Dwight Terry at Club Vibe over the weekend.
Around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday, police were called to Club Vibe where Terry was found. He was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Currently, there is a warrant out for Lewis for murder charges. According to Potter County Records/Warrants, he has no previous history of records or arrests.
Police say Lewis is considered armed and dangerous.

According to Terry’s family, he moved to Amarillo a year ago to better himself. Terry graduated from Tascosa High School in May of 2018 and purchased his first car last month.
The family of Terry will host a candle light ceremony on Tuesday, Feb. 26 in his honor.
The investigation of this shooting is underway. Autopsy results should be ready later this week.
