Police are searching for a third suspect in a suspicious death.
Authorities on Wednesday filed a charge of murder against Bryan Craig Childs, 23, in the slaying of an Amarillo man earlier this month. Court records on the charge were released today.
Childs is wanted in the death of Ricky Glen Provence, 51, of Amarillo, said Lt. Erick Bohannon, coordinator of the Potter-Randall Special Crimes Unit.
Relatives found Provence's body July 5 after they their way inside his apartment at 1508 S. Jefferson St. Amarillo police officers called to the scene discovered conditions in the apartment that led them to believe Provence died under suspicious circumstances.
Police on Saturday arrested Laney Paul Brewer, also known as Laney Paul Chambers, 23, and Leslee Anne Wiseman, 23, and charged with them with murder in the case. Brewer was in Randall County Jail on $505,000 bond and Wiseman was in Potter County Detention Center on $500,000 bond.
"This investigation has really broadened considerably," Bohannon said today. "We are still seeking people with information regarding this case."
Childs is described as a white male, 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing about 185 pounds.
