AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - A Randall County grand jury formalized charges today in the growing list of crimes prosecutors say were a part of the murder-for-hire plot involving Billy Glenn Ivy Jr.
The jury indicted Ivy for being the money behind the burning of a woman's home. It also indicted Amber Stone for being one of two people who set the fire for money.
Ongoing investigations turned up Patrick Clemons who the jury indicted for being the person Ivy wanted to kill a rival in a murder-for-hire plot. This case is not related to the one in Potter County from this summer while Ivy was out on bond.
Last week, two more people were arrested in association with the murder-for-hire plot, and in September, a man who was killed in a SWAT standoff was linked to the conspiracy to commit capital murder as well.
A federal judge recently sentenced Ivy to over 3 years in prison and a $25,000 fine for having unregistered gun silencers.
According to court documents, that sentence would be served before any sentences that might come from these cases.
