RANDALL COUNTY, Texas (KVII) — UPDATE: Nov. 4, 11:43 a.m.:

A murder warrant has been issued for a man in connection with the homicide of 19-year-old Jonathan Mullins.

According to the Randall County Sheriff's Office, on Oct. 27, a murder warrant was issued for 22-year-old Christian Joel Deleon, who is in custody.

The investigation into Mullin's death remains ongoing.

Authorities have confirmed that a body found in rural Randall County is that of 19-year-old Jonathan Mullins, who had been missing since Oct. 11.

According to the Randall County Sheriff's Office, on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at about 6:30 p.m., the Sheriff's Office was contacted by Amarillo Police Department Homicide detectives regarding a possible homicide in rural Randall County.

APD detectives had information leading them to an eastern part of the county near FM 1258.

RCSO deputies and investigators from the Criminal Investigation Unit and Crime Scene Unit responded.

Authorities uncovered the body of a dead male.

Randall County Justice of the Peace Byrd was notified and ordered an autopsy, which was conducted on Friday, in Lubbock.

The body was identified as Mullins.

The death is considered a homicide and is under investigation.
