| District Judge Steven Emmert sentenced Cynthia Young, 42, of Pampa, to serve 40 years in jail and pay a $10,000 fine for the murder of Terry Lee Boaz, 41, of Pampa, on June 6, 2007. Prosecutors said Young used a 2003 Ford pickup she was driving to cause a 1997 Harley-Davidson motorcycle Boaz was driving to wreck. |
Boaz died after he was taken to Pampa Regional Medical Center, officials said.
Young also was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the aggravated assault of Tina Sue Hoskins, 41, of Pampa, Rutherford said. Hoskins was riding with Boaz on the motorcycle and sustained life-threatening injuries, Pampa police said. Officials transported Hoskins to the Pampa hospital and later to Northwest Texas Hospital, officials said
