AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — An Amarillo man arrested on kidnapping charges after a police chase was previously arrested on child porn charges.

According to court documents, Joseph Tyler Putch, 29, was in possession of photos that showed children under the age of 18 engaging in sexual conduct including "some as young as toddlers."

In February 2020, police got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about potential child pornography being uploaded from a Google account.

Police said the Gmail address was tylerputchjoseph@gmail.com.

Putch was arrested in April 2020.

According to police, Putch told them he had a new cell phone.

Police said they found child porn saved to the Google photos folder on the phone. The password for the folder was Putch's date of birth.

He is still awaiting trial.

Putch was arrested again Monday after police said he led them on a chase after forcing a screaming woman into a car.

Police found five guns, a sword and a machete in the car.
