Jason Mills (19) was arrested and booked into the Randall County jail that day on a first-degree felony charge of injury to a child.

Police alleged Mills, a boyfriend, of William's mother, 29-year-old Sondra Weschke, assaulted the boy and failed to aseek medical aid in a timely manner.

Mills was indicted on may 28th in Randall County for two counts of assault or attempted murder. Weschke was indicted May 29 on a charge of injury to a child by omission
