Amarillo Lawyer, Woman Arrested for Alleged Sex Crimes

A multi-agency investigation lasting more than a year lands two people in jail, including an Amarillo lawyer.

The first arrest came back in April when then Summer Stewart, 19, was arrested for promoting prostitution.

The criminal complaint in the case shows Stewart had multiple prostitutes working for her, including one under the age of 18.

Documents allege the juvenile was 14-years-old when Stewart was arrested at a local hotel.

In June, attorney Maxwell Peck, III was arrested and charged with eight counts of Sexual Assault of a Child.

On four different occasions, Peck is accused of contacting Stewart and setting up meetings with a prostitute allegedly working for Stewart.

According to the complaints filed in Potter County, the meetings happened at a hotel and at Peck’s office.
