One man has been arrested after a late night homicide in north Amarillo on Friday, Nov. 9. Around 11:31 p. m. , Amarillo Police officers patrolling Amarillo Blvd. heard a gunshot in the area of Arthur St. The officers responded to the 700 block of North Arthur to find a male deceased in the street. The victim has been identified as Brandal Johnson, a 39-year-old male. Johnson suffered a gunshot wound. The APD Special Crimes Unit investigated the incident and spoke to multiple witnesses.

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — One man has been arrested after a late night homicide in north Amarillo on Friday, Nov. 9.

Around 11:31 p.m., Amarillo Police officers patrolling Amarillo Blvd. heard a gunshot in the area of Arthur St. The officers responded to the 700 block of North Arthur to find a male deceased in the street. The victim has been identified as Brandal Johnson, a 39-year-old male. Johnson suffered a gunshot wound.

The APD Special Crimes Unit investigated the incident and spoke to multiple witnesses.

Errick Smith, a 45-year-old male, was arrested for the murder and booked into the Potter County Detention Center.
