A man is charged with murder in Amarillo.

20 year old Daniel Stover is charged with shooting and killing 31-year-old Erik Mendoza yesterday morning.

Police were called out to East 10th Street and Garfield yesterday after reports of shots fired.

They found Stover hiding in a dumpster with a loaded gun.

Mendoza was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
