SUSPECT NUMBER 1 The first incident where a suspect was named happened back on Oct. 16. The suspect was identified as being 37-year-old Anthony Dewayne Campbell.
He is wanted on a charge of Aggravated Assault Causing Bodily Injury. Campbell also has an outstanding warrant in Potter County for Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.
Amarillo police said Campbell frequently stays in motels along Amarillo Boulevard. He is believed to still be in the Amarillo area.
It was on Oct. 16 when officers were called to the 3000-block of East Amarillo Boulevard on the report of an assault. Officers arrived to find a man lying in the parking lot.
The man, later identified as 47-year-old Michael Todd Williams, was released from the hospital and sent home on Oct. 21. On Oct. 25, police said Williams returned to the hospital and died on Oct. 26.
An autopsy was ordered. Preliminary autopsy results showed Williams died from pneumonia as a complication of blunt force traums to the upper body.
SUSPECT NUMBER 2 The second incident where a suspect was named was a homicide that happened early Sunday morning at Paradise Club. The suspect was identified as 22-year-old Tyrone Dawayne Black.
Black is now wanted on a Murder warrant out of Potter County. Officers checked several areas and addresses but have still been unable to find him.
Police said Black has connections to several friends and associated in the Amarillo area. Other leads have also indicated Black may have connections to Lubbock, Texas, and the state of California. Black, according to police, is from Eaden Prairie, Minnesota, and still has family living in the Amarillo area.
Black, police said, should be considered armed and dangerous. He is accused of killing Eric Ontario Smith, Jr, in the parking lot of Paradise Club in the 700-block of North Fillmore Street. Several witnesses reported a man approached Smith in the parking lot and shot him. Witnesses helped police identify the suspect as being Black.
