On February 8, 2018 an Amarillo Police Department confidential informant (CI) was utilized to purchase approximately nine (9) ounces of methamphetamine from Aaron Lewis for twenty eight hundred dollars. During the negotiations for the purchase of the methamphetamine between the CI and Lewis, Lewis told the CI that his source of supply for methamphetamine was "Dirty." Investigators knew "Dirty" to be Dustin Anderson.

On February 13, 2018 the same Amarillo Police Department CI that was utilized to purchase approximately nine (9) ounces of methamphetamine from Lewis on February 8, 2018 contacted Amarillo Police Department Narcotics Agent Kristopher Koval. The CI told Agent Koval the CI had a telephone conversation with Lewis about a shipment of methamphetamine that had arrived. Lewis told the CI that Lewis was currently with the shipment of methamphetamine. Lewis further explained that Lewis had cut into the packaging containing the methamphetamine and got cayenne pepper in Lewis's nose and mixed into the methamphetamine. During the time Lewis was having the telephone conversation with the CI, and Lewis stating he was currently with the load of methamphetamine, physical and electronic surveillance placed Lewis at the Anderson's residence located at 6705 NE 18th, Amarillo, Texas.

On February 13, 2018 a narcotic search warrant was obtained for Anderson's residence at 6705 NE 18th, Amarillo, Texas. Prior to the execution of the search warrant Anderson was observed having a 1987 Buick two door vehicle registered to Anderson loaded onto a wrecker at his residence of 6705 NE 18th Amarillo, Texas. After the wrecker left the residence with the Buick, a traffic stop was conducted with the wrecker. A drug detecting canine was utilized to perform a free air sniff of the Buick and the canine gave a positive alert to the odor of narcotics emitting from the Buick. During a probable cause search of the Buick, approximately five pounds of methamphetamine was located inside of the Buick. This amount of methamphetamine is more than would be possessed for personal use and is indicative of distribution.

The search warrant for Anderson's residence at 6705 NE 18th was executed and the residence was searched. Approximately twenty thousand dollars in U.S. currency was located inside of a boot. Two clear plastic ziplock bags containing an off-white crystalline substance was located inside of a bag on top of a tool box in the garage of the residence. The crystalline substance in the bags field tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine and weighed approximately two pounds. This amount of methamphetamine is more than would be possessed for personal use and is indicative of distribution.

During a mirandized interview of Anderson, Anderson admitted to possession of the methamphetamine located inside of the Buick two door and the two pounds of methamphetamine at his residence at 6705 NE 18th, Amarillo, Texas. Anderson admitted to be a large scale methamphetamine distributor.
