Crack cocaine bust leads to 4 arrests

Authorities arrested four people Thursday on multiple charges after police raided a house on Northeast 10th Avenue and recovered $5,320 worth of illegal drugs, Amarillo police said.
Randall Dale Sanders, 39; Eddie Dean Barrows Jr., 20; Datra Chevalier Johnson, 25; and Tommy Montray Thornton, 22, were booked into the Potter County Detention Center after Amarillo narcotics officers and SWAT team members found 50 grams of crack cocaine worth $5,000 and 4 ounces of marijuana worth $320, said police Sgt. Brent Clay.
Sanders is jailed in lieu of $25,000 bond, charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance. Barrows, whose bond is $10,000, faces a charge of engaging in organized criminal activity. Johnson's bonds total $25,000 on charges of engaging in organized criminal activity and manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance. Thornton is charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and seven municipal charges with total bonds of $13,500.
Police officers obtained a search warrant for the house at 7:35 p.m. Thursday before they raided the home, Clay said.
