The Family Dollar Store at 433 S. Western was robbed at about 8:30 on Sunday evening.

Mon, 09 Feb 2015 18:16:00 GMT — The Family Dollar Store at 433 S. Western was robbed at about 8:30 on Sunday evening.

An employee was near the register when the suspect entered. The suspect pointed a handgun at the employee and demanded the money be put in a small backpack that he was carrying. While this was happening, a second employee came out of the back of the store. The suspect saw the second employee, pointed the gun at him, and directed him to get on the floor.

The suspect left the store with the money and was last seen running northbound on the street east of the store.

The suspect is described as about 6' tall, slim, wearing a black hooded jacked, a brown bandana over his face, dark colored gloves, and khaki pants.

No one was injured and there have been no arrests.
