Carl Glen Wheat, 24, died Sept. 21 while officers were trying to wrangle a bag of methamphetamines from Wheat's possession. An original autopsy concluded Wheat's death to be a homicide due to neck compressions. A Potter County Justice of the Peace asked for other opinions in the case.

A Potter County Jury ruled that Wheat died of asphyxia and took no action against the officers who fought with Wheat.
