DESMON CRUZ, 16 MONTHS, OF AMARILLO died March 30 of burns that went untreated for more
than a day. Charges were filed against Jaime Gallegos, 23, on a second-degree felony charge
of reckless injury to a child. He was indicted Aug. 3. He is awaiting trial and in the Potter County Detention Center.
