Update 1:48 p. m. Nov. 27: Billey Joe Woelfle has been indicted on a charge of murder, according to grand jury documents from the Potter County clerk. Woelfle is accused in the Aug. 15 death of Zachary David Cordova. Original post 8:48 a. m. AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Update 1:48 p.m. Nov. 27: Billey Joe Woelfle has been indicted on a charge of murder, according to grand jury documents from the Potter County clerk.

Woelfle is accused in the Aug. 15 death of Zachary David Cordova.

Officials have now ruled that an Aug. 15 suspicious death is a homicide, and a murder warrant has been issued, according to a news release from the Amarillo Police Department.

A murder warrant has been issued for Billey Joe Woelfle, 21, in the death of Zachary David Cordova, 30. Woelfle is currently incarcerated in the Lubbock County Jail, and the warrant was served there.
