AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Police have stated the remains found in Randall County are likely the remains of Andrew Garcia, known by friends as Tattoo Drew, who went missing just more than one year ago. The remains were found Tuesday night on Rockwell Road near the railroad crossing of I-27.

According to Amarillo police, Garcia was last seen on April 4, 2015, in the 2100- block of North Marrs Street. Witnesses had stated that Garcia may have been in danger. He was reported missing on April 7, 2015.

Arrest warrants were put out for three people in relation to the possible homicide of Garcia. Robert Clay Hathcoat, 21, and Brett Thomas Hughes, 21, are both charged with Aggravated Kidnapping and Tampering with Evidence. Clifton Dashaun Baker, 30, is charged with Tampering with Evidence.

"We haven't booked anyone for murder," said Lt. Erick Bohannon. "Right now, we can't say what the cause of death was. Absent that, we can't say that somebody murdered Andrew. But, because of the fact that he died and his skeletal remains were found in Randall County, yes, we're going to work it as a homicide."

Police said although the case is being investigated as a homicide, none of the suspects have been charged with murder since no cause of death has been determined. The investigation into exactly what happened to Garcia is ongoing.

According to APD, the remains that were found were sent to the University of North Texas to be identified. Police said Garcia's family have been notified of the results of the investigation up to this point.
